From the moment he joined the FST team in April of this
year, Santosh Kandala has been extremely busy. This is not at all surprising considering
the project is
currently in its third out of four phases. Kandala doesn’t seem to mind the
fast-paced environment, and in fact, appreciates the opportunity: “I love
interacting with new people and being in situations that allow me to learn new
things,” he says.
Kandala is an Oracle EBS Developer for the project, meaning
he is developing programs to extract files from Oracle so other members of the
team can load those files into the Workday tenant. He also works with the
Technical workstream lead, Sharad Gupta, other Oracle EBS experts like
Raghavendra Thatavarthi, Richard Parkins, and James Flinn, as well as Workday experts
Radhakrishnan Aruneraj and Aman Chawla to analyze data for mapping.
Specifically, the team is working on data mapping for suppliers, supplier
addresses, emails, fixed assets, and customers.

Kandala points out that working on such a large project can
sometimes be challenging. However, he says that “over the past few weeks, we've made quite a lot of progress. The functional team has been
providing lots of helpful information to the technical team.”
When not at work, he loves to travel and site-see,
especially if it involves long drives with his family and friends.
Kandala says he is “very excited about joining the UVA
family and can’t wait to see everyone once
we’re able to work together
in-person again.”
