Emergency Notification System Update

System maintenance and routine equipment replacements are underway for UVA's siren system this summer. Until this work is complete in August, students, faculty and staff will continue to automatically receive UVA Alert email messages and can receive emergency alerts in the additional following ways:

• Sign up for UVA Alert texts: https://uvaemergency.virginia.edu/uva_alerts
• Follow any of these accounts on Twitter: @UVA_EM, @UVAPolice or @HoosSafe
• Download our free safety app: LiveSafe
• Install Alertus software on UVA computers
• See alerts on digital screens in large classrooms and common areas and on the UVA homepage and the UVA emergency homepage.
