Pretty soon you might start hearing the terms “user persona”
and “user story” within the context of Finance Strategic Transformation. You
may have even heard those terms used already.
But what do they mean?
A user persona,
within the context of Workday, is a created character based on actual UVA
employees who will likely be using the new system. A different user persona is
created for each type of employee that will be interacting with Workday.
Each user persona has a
user story, a short description of who the user persona represents and what
they need from the system.
The FST team will keep the created user personas and stories
in mind while building the Workday tenant to ensure the different needs of UVA
employees are met.
